Mykebou whose real name is Michael V. Bolgent was born on 10th April, in a small town called MICHIKA. His parents moved from Michika to Yola Town, the capital of ADAMAWA State. At the six, Mykebou sang together with other children in the Sunday school choir. Mykebou at the age of eight began showing his musical talented, when he was chosen to solo a song in the Grown-Up Church Service during one of the Sunday school weeks. Mykebou attended Yola Model Primary School, for his elementary and primary school certificate. In 2000 he was given admission in EYN Comprehensive Secondary School for his “O” level certificate. Mykebou when attaining his high school certificate, decide to join a group name THE LEVITES (a Gospel Music Group) in 2002, to keep his musical career fit. In 2003, Mykebou and his group members came up with their studio album RETURN, attending several local shows within and outside the school environment. Performing at invited shows gave Mykebou the idea of exploring his writing and singing ability to the world. In 2005, he wrote his first solo song, ONE LOVE (which was later edited and given a new title THEY NEED SOME HELP!), a song which was produced by TKlex, a producer and a friend to Mykebou. By the year 2006, Mykebou graduated from high school and seek for admission into the university, but was not given the opportunity. He had to stay for two years at home. While at home, Mykebou worked on his music career, and released several single like Happy People, Christmas Time, Your Man, and Hold me. The songs couldn’t receive proper radio airplay. Mykebou decided to join the music production team, with his little knowledge in piano playing, he produced some of his music in 2007. Working together producer gave him the chance to learn and know more about music production. In 2008, Mykebou was offered admission to study mass communication in the University of Maiduguri, where now his is studying his four (4) degree course. In the university, he made other artiste who they did work together to help themselves in music game/career. Mykebou is now working on his first official studio album THE LOVE SCENARIO, which he intends to feature some talented artiste from all over the globe. He released two of his songs from the album as singles.
