  • Modric win FIFA best player award

    Croatia international Luca Modric has emerge as the winner for the 2018 FIFA best player award ceremony held in London.

    Modric enjoyed a magnificent year in his football career guiding Real madrid to their third consecutive  Champions league trophy , he also help Real in their Club world cup triumph in UAE last season.

    The 33 year old was the captain of the croatia national team that reach the FIFA world cup final for the first time in history only to lost to France in the final  and he was name the best player of the competition.

    Other nominees for the award was Cristiano Ronaldo and Mohammed Salah.

    Ronaldo who was his former team mate before he leave for juventus in the summer played a pivotal role in Real Madrid success last season scoring 44 goals in as many games with 15 of those goals coming from the Champions league where he won the golden boot, he also score four goals for Portugal in the World cup though he was unable to guide them pass the round of 16.

    Mohammed Salah guide Liverpool to their first Champions league final in 11 year, he scored a total 44 goals in as many games as he was name the winner of the Premier league golden boot, he also guide Egypt to the world cup where he score only one goal as they were knocked out in the group stage.

    Luckily Mohamed Salah has emerge as a winner of the Puskas award  , his goal against Everton in the premier league last season is voted as the best goal of the year ahead of Gereth Bale overhead kick against Liverpool in the champions league and Lionel Messi's goal against Nigeria at the world Cup .
